Bio
Alec LaRoche is a bassist, multi-instrumentalist and producer who writes jazz chords over 808s, funk lines over drum machines, and plays every part himself on bass, guitar and keys.
His new music starts with short compositions he records himself, which he chops up, resamples on the Digitakt and builds into tracks with live bass on top. Funk, jazz and electronica, all from one player.
Over 20 years on the road, Alec has charted in the UK Top Ten, played The Fillmore and Great American Music Hall, toured nationally with The Harmed Brothers and many other artists, and been featured in Bass Player magazine. His earlier French house and disco work came out on Filo Fx Records and was picked up by House of Groove and De La Groove in France.
