Bio
Alec La Roche is a funk and jazz bassist, composer, and producer based in Yosemite, CA. Known for his high-energy playing and genre-blending sound, La Roche has been compared to greats like Stanley Clarke and Alphonso Johnson. He’s performed on iconic stages such as the Fillmore and Great American Music Hall, and has toured nationally since the age of 20.
His latest project under his own name features a dynamic drum-and-bass duo that fuses funk, jazz, and electronic elements into an explosive live experience. He also co-leads the jazz trio The DL La Roche and the funk-forward band Kazzimir Salvo, with new releases and a tour in the works.
La Roche’s music showcases deep grooves, improvisational flair, and a fresh voice on the bass—pushing the instrument forward with every performance.
